HOPE Ring B

Common FAQ

Answers to the questions families, carers, providers and direct customers usually ask before reserving HOPE Ring B.

Safety and daily use

What does HOPE actually do?

HOPE is a discreet smart ring designed for safer independent living. It is being built to monitor signals like motion, heart health, stress, activity and wellness patterns, then help family or carers understand when something may need attention. The goal is simple: less guessing, fewer missed moments, and faster awareness when a loved one may need help.

What if something happens when no one is around?

That is the exact situation HOPE is designed for. If a fall, unusual movement pattern, distress signal or concerning change is detected, HOPE is intended to notify the selected care circle so someone can check in sooner. It helps reduce the risk of a person being left alone for hours before anyone knows something has happened.

Does protection depend on pressing a button?

No. Traditional panic buttons can fail at the worst time because the person may be unconscious, confused, injured, in pain, or simply unable to reach the button. HOPE is being built around passive detection and automatic awareness, so support does not depend only on someone manually asking for help.

Will HOPE detect every fall or emergency?

No wearable can honestly promise to detect every fall, emergency or health event. Performance can depend on fit, battery, connectivity, movement type, the person wearing it and the environment. HOPE is designed to improve awareness and response, and the wearer can also manually ask for help by tapping the ring a few times. It should not replace emergency services, medical advice or an existing care plan for high-risk situations.

Who gets alerted if something is wrong?

HOPE is designed around a trusted care circle. That may include family members, carers, support workers or approved providers depending on how the ring is set up. The idea is that alerts go to the people who are most likely to act quickly, rather than leaving everyone unsure who should check in.

Can family check whether someone is okay?

Yes, the companion experience is being designed to help authorised family and carers understand recent activity and changes without needing constant check-in calls. Instead of asking, "Are they safe right now?" and hoping for the best, families can get a clearer sense of patterns, activity and possible concerns. Access is intended to be permission-based, so the person wearing HOPE stays in control of who can see their information.

Comfort, battery and features

Is HOPE waterproof?

HOPE is designed for real daily life, including ordinary water exposure such as washing hands, showering and going about the day without constantly removing the ring.

How long does the battery last?

HOPE Ring B is being designed for up to 7 days of battery life, depending on usage, settings and connectivity. Longer battery life matters because families should not have to worry every day about whether the ring is charged. The Early Access Package includes a Pro charging case. Earlier reservation holders retain any charging case already promised to them.

Will it be comfortable enough to wear all day and night?

That is one of the main reasons HOPE is a ring rather than a bulky pendant or watch. It is designed to be discreet, lightweight and suitable for continuous wear, including overnight when many incidents can happen. The Early Access Package includes a physical sizing kit so the final fit can be confirmed before the ring ships. Earlier reservation holders retain any free kit already promised to them.

What health signals does HOPE monitor?

HOPE is being built around fall detection, stress, heart health, wellness and longevity, activity and fitness, care circle alerts, battery awareness and lab uploads. These signals are designed to provide useful context, not to diagnose medical conditions. If something looks concerning, the right next step may still be to contact a healthcare professional or emergency services.

What is included with early access?

The A$499 Early Access Package includes 12 months of accidental damage and loss protection, with one complimentary ring replacement in total after ring delivery, plus early access to Carerpod and Gen B2. It also includes HOPE Ring B, a free physical sizing kit, Pro charging case, priority dispatch within Batch 2, a 12-month package warranty and a complimentary family setup session. These additional benefits belong to qualifying completed package purchases. A new A$5 reservation locks in the A$499 price, holds one Batch 2 allocation and includes reservation and production updates, with A$494 remaining. A reservation alone does not activate package extras. Existing customers retain all previously promised benefits.

Price, funding and reservation

What does the 12-month protection include?

Your qualifying Early Access Package purchase includes one complimentary ring replacement in total if your ring is accidentally damaged or lost during the first 12 months after you receive it. The protection period starts on receipt of the ring, not on payment, dispatch or sizing-kit delivery. View protection terms.

Is protection the same as the package warranty?

No. The accidental damage and loss benefit provides one promotional replacement in total. Your package warranty, manufacturing-defect claims and Australian Consumer Law rights are separate. Manufacturing-defect claims do not use the promotional replacement allowance.

Does early access include Carerpod or another ring?

Early Access customers are among the first invited to access Carerpod and Gen B2, with updates shared directly. Early access does not include a complimentary device, subscription or Gen B2 replacement. Gen B2 requires a separate device purchase. Carerpod is a separate future product and purchase. Its price and purchase terms will be announced at release; no launch date is promised here.

When do the package benefits qualify?

The additional benefits belong to qualifying completed Early Access Package purchases, whether paid directly, completed from a reservation or purchased through an eligible funded arrangement under the confirmed terms. An A$5 reservation, funding enquiry or funding approval alone does not activate them. Verified capture of a full Afterpay order transaction confirms the purchase; customers do not need to finish their four repayments before package benefits are recorded. Protection starts when the ring is received, and estimated preorder dispatch remains late 2026 to early 2027. Existing customers retain their previously promised entitlements.

Who can reserve?

Customers can reserve HOPE Ring B with an A$5 refundable deposit or choose the A$499 Early Access Package. A paid reservation holds one allocation; completing it uses the same allocation. Funding enquiries are subject to eligibility and review; an enquiry does not reserve a discounted place.

Are there any additional costs?

The Batch 2 early-access device price is A$499. A reservation is A$5 today with A$494 remaining. Australian delivery is free and core fall alerts have no monthly fee. Carerpod is a separate future product and purchase.

Can HOPE be funded through Support at Home or NDIS?

Eligible customers may be able to purchase HOPE through approved Support at Home or NDIS funding pathways. Participant contributions, prepayment rules and provider purchasing arrangements vary. Funding approval is not guaranteed and depends on your eligibility, plan or budget, provider, assessment and the rules that apply to your program.

What happens if I use Support at Home or NDIS funding?

If your purchase is approved and paid through your relevant funding source, HOPE will refund the $5 reservation deposit to your original payment method. Funding approval is not guaranteed and depends on your eligibility, plan or budget, provider and applicable program rules.

How does the $5 reservation work?

The $5 AUD reservation secures your place for HOPE Ring B and is fully refundable if you cancel before your ring ships. Before shipping, HOPE will contact you to confirm sizing, delivery details, funding pathway and any remaining balance. If your ring is later approved and paid through Support at Home or NDIS, the $5 reservation deposit will be refunded to your original payment method.

What does the $5 deposit do?

It secures your reservation while your funding method, ring size, delivery details and final order are confirmed. It also gives HOPE the details needed to coordinate the next step with you, your family, your provider, or your chosen payment pathway.

What happens if I pay directly?

Your $5 deposit secures your reservation and is credited toward your reserved device price unless you cancel before your ring ships. Direct customers can pay the remaining balance before dispatch after sizing and delivery details are confirmed.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. The $5 reservation deposit is refundable if you cancel before your ring ships. The Early Access Package includes a free sizing kit; earlier customers keep any kit already promised.

When will the remaining amount be paid?

Before shipping, we will contact you to confirm sizing, delivery details and the remaining balance based on your reserved device price. We will then coordinate payment with you, your Support at Home provider, or your NDIS payment pathway as applicable.

Shipping and privacy

When will HOPE Ring B ship?

Batch 2 preorders are expected to dispatch from late 2026 to early 2027, subject to size confirmation and production readiness. Earlier customers retain their existing delivery commitments. We’ll keep you updated as your order progresses.

Is my family's data private?

HOPE is designed for sensitive care situations, so privacy matters. Personal information and care-related data should only be available to authorised people involved in the user's care. You can read more in the Privacy Policy, and HOPE will continue to design the experience around consent, appropriate access and practical care needs.
